World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade feature for items lets players upgrade their equipment. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.
Upgrades increase the main stat of an item, and can also add extras based on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs, or Goldwrap for casting builds.
Armour
Armour is among the key things that keeps Link protected from damage in all situations. Although it cannot be upgraded like weapons, you can still improve its defence capabilities in a variety of ways.
The principle of armour is to shield a person or animal from physical injury or harm whether from physical attack or from various environmental and activity hazards. In the past, armour was typically made of leather or fabric however later, metal protections were used as well, especially in military applications such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.
There are a variety of ways to upgrade armour however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own level of upgrades available with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection, and requiring a higher cost in rupees and the materials needed to unlock.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been installed, they can't be removed unless you own another piece of equipment with the same upgrade. It is recommended to only apply the most powerful upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the equipment required to complete the process.
You can find the upgrades you need in many places around Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants and even enemies. These will generally be marked with an gold circle or blue triangle symbol, and are available in large quantities as you move through the game. While they may appear randomly, there's the possibility that acquiring certain upgrade components will lead to a quest that will reward you with more.
It's also worth noting that although the level of protection provided by each upgrade differs but it's the same for all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. A full set of upgraded armor will give you a strong defense boost that protects you from all types of attacks and will also protect against magic. This makes it an effective weapon for any type of.
Weapons
If you want to make your guns truly unique, you can upgrade them with a variety upgrades. These can increase damage, change the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your build or even unlock new attachments such as unique ammo types, enchantments and other options for aesthetics.
You'll require both the upgrade component and the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be at a minimum of a certain level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only take one upgrade.
There are weapons upgrade components scattered across the globe and from enemies or bought from a merchant. Upgrade components are a mix of components that you can incorporate into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools in order to gain an attribute bonus. The equipment has to be of a certain level before it can accept the upgrade. It can be upgraded the same way as other items.
Upgrades are a mix of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They are used to improve the power of weapons and improve their ability to scale with other stats. They can be found from enemies that are dropped into the open, bought from a few merchants or from combat.
Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: the Blacksmith Hewg, in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
item upgrading upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade item upgrades that you're not likely to replace in the near future. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your shoulders, chest, hands, and feet when you are planning to play in a melee-based build. The same principle goes for Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain items may be better than others depending on your playstyle. The same is true for Armour and reforges, with some being better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item. If an upgrade plan has been canceled, no further upgrades will be planned for the item. Magic items that are upgraded will cost twice the amount of gold they normally cost to make or purchase however they may provide additional advantages.
A magical item is an item that has special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, however some are also armor, shields and cloaks, potions, scrolls, rings, and other items. Some of these items are telepathic.
The majority of magic items have their abilities enhanced. This makes them more useful to a player or help them overcome a difficult encounter. Infused weapons can offer an additional amount of damage to a specific enemy type, for example. This is particularly useful for those who have reached the level where they are likely to encounter a particular type of monster repeatedly in Dungeons.
A ring infused by magic may grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or cut (excluding silver-based attacks) until the character is given a second rest. This is particularly useful for melee martial characters or anyone who wants to stay clear of buying a shield.
Some enchanted objects have special powers that allow the character to cast spells that aren't in their class list. This can be useful for characters that have difficulties maintaining their spell slots because of multiclassing. These items that are enchanted typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use, and the spell is determined by rolling on an array of tables determined by the number of Intelligence points spent.
Other enchanted items might let the user change their appearance, or create an entirely new one. These are particularly beneficial for characters who have had to leave their homes, or who are in a location that they aren't welcomed. A magical item could provide them with invisibility or make them invisible for everyone, except for the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that don't fall into the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons and have a range of different capabilities. Contrary to Weapons and Armor and Clothing, no utility item can conflict with another. Most utility items provide an effect that a player can activate by using them but some have additional abilities that are activated when the user presses the button or activates the ability.
Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utilitarian item is the Flashlight, which illuminates the surrounding area. Other utilities include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving, and the Jetpack, which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Several useful items can be immediately created in the Engineering section while others can be unlocked through research projects or projects at the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the ones available in their regular inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded for greater effectiveness.

Most utility items provide the player with a navigational advantage or increase the ability to fight. Sharpening stones, created by the Weaponsmith can boost power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, created by an Huntsman will increase concentration and healing power. Other items of utility such as Writs or Theses crafted by the Scribe, can be used to give the player either a boost in Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single utilitarian item to begin the campaign. An additional slot is available after the completion of certain engineering, research, or experimental projects on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots are available by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This allows players to make use of an Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the primary slot.
